BW defeats LW in Semifinal Round
Brandon Wright reaches the Hammer of the Gods Finals for the first time during the Cup era, by defeating one-time champ Laurence Witschi, 3 games to 2 in a best-of-five series. Despite a dramatic 13 inning victory in game 1, Witschi was unable to fend off Wright's surge in Games 2 & 3, winning by the scores of 2-1 with NY, and 7-4 with DT.
LW managed to tie the series at 2-2, with a convincing 6-1 victory with DT in Game 4. But BW returned the favor with a 6-1 win with DT in the deciding Game 5.

DK Wins Second Consecutive Cup
Dennis Kim defeats Brandon Wright 4 games to 2, in the best of seven finals round to win the Hammer of the Gods Trophy for the second straight time. After dropping Game 1 to BW 5-0, in a match-up that featured MN and NY, DK strung together three victories in a row, including a 10th inning win in game 2 to put him firmly in the lead.
Wright came back in Game 5, winning with MN for the second time 6-3. But he fell short of a comeback, dropping Game 6 by the slimmest of margins, 3-2 to DK playing MN. DK successfully defends his Championship crown.
